Central West Group Apprentices

This year the Group celebrates 27 years of operation. CWGA is one of the largest group training companies in Australia, currently employing up to 1000 Apprentices and Trainees in over 126 different vocations. Over the past 27 years, thousands of young adults have successfully completed their training through the Group.

CWGA has grown steadily and employs over 40 staff throughout its six full time offices in Bathurst, Orange, Parkes, Cowra, Dubbo and Lithgow. We also have out reach office services in Mudgee, Young and Tamworth.

Group Training

The Group Training Scheme works by employing Trainees and Apprentices and then leasing them to “Host Employers” for a length of time. The scheme provides; Recruitment, Apprentice Support Services, Vocational Training, Host Employer Support Services, OH&S Management, Financial and Administrative Services.

With an annual wage bill of $23 million, CWGA is the largest employer of young people in the area, making a significant contribution to the economic development of local communities. CWGA is a registered “Quality Group Training” company and is a part of the national network of Group Training companies which currently employ around 40,000 Apprentices and Trainees Australia wide.

Skillset

Skillset is brand under which CWGA offers a variety of services in training, recruitment, safety and HR.

Skillset Training is our a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) with almost 300 Trainees undertaking flexible workplace training programs.
